Why Boudoir Photography?
Yes, that’s me in the above picture, in my own boudoir shoot!
So, Hi there!! My name is Ellie Piper and I am the photographer & owner of Boudoir No. 5! I have been doing photography since 2004 and boudoir since 2011! I once was the catch all photographer, and would do any photography job out there. But these last 12 years I have realized that I really only have the passion and drive for boudoir photography! Sometimes I find it difficult to put into words exactly what I do. When people ask me, I’ll usually say “I’m a boudoir photographer!” And to be honest, most people’s reaction, is “ohh, tell me more!”. Boudoir photography is about celebrating self-acceptance, body positivity, and artistic expression. For many women, it’s a truly transformative experience.
I was drawn to boudoir photography because I wanted to show women the beauty that I see in them. So many women tell me they hate photos of themselves or feel they aren’t photogenic, or that their bodies aren’t perfect enough. Trust me, I’ve said this plenty of myself too! But I’m here to tell you that it’s all nonsense. Every time I reveal a client’s images to them, I get to witness their amazed reactions: “I can’t believe that’s me!” It’s an incredibly rewarding feeling to be able to show women that they are beautiful just the way they are, with all their stretch marks, cellulite, and wrinkles.
I love every woman that comes through my studio and I always feel some sort of connection with them during the process and after. I know that sounds super silly, but for me this is such an intimate thing that most women can’t just do in front of everyone. That is why I feel so blessed and honored to do each girl that has come to me for their boudoir session. And I only ever want this to be a space where you feel safe and beautiful!!

The Transformation!
When my clients first arrive at the studio, they’re usually really nervous but so much excitement all rolled into one. But as soon as they sit down for hair and makeup, the transformation begins! By this point, they’re starting to relax and feel more at ease.
Next, we’ll go through your pieces that you brought and we will pick together the ones you’ll be shooting with. I try to get a nice flow with the outfits and sets. So that the whole experience will be fun and easy! Then we start shooting. I always begin with a series of photos that slowly gets you into the spicier poses! lol We will start out a little slow! A little more of the “basic” posing. This allows my clients to get comfortable, take a deep breath, and just relax.
As we move through the different sets and outfits, we’re usually laughing and having a great time. Those nerves from the beginning of the shoot? Long gone! This is also when my clients really start to embrace their sexy side and their eyes start to sparkle.
When we’re finished with the shoot and it’s time for the reveal, it’s one of my favorite parts of the process. Seeing my clients’ jaws drop as they look at their images for the first time is such a rewarding feeling. They’re finally seeing themselves in a new light, maybe even the way their partner sees them. When they leave the studio, they’re holding their heads a little higher and feeling like a total badass. Confidence is everything – it can impact your relationships, work, and family life. And that’s why I love what I do.
A little about me!
As a boudoir photographer with almost 20 years of experience, I have a true passion for capturing the beauty and confidence of every woman I work with. I believe that every woman deserves to feel beautiful and empowered, which is why I’ve created a private home studio in Edmond, OK where women can come to be free, feel sexy, and celebrate themselves.
My inspiration for boudoir photography stems from my early admiration of Marilyn Monroe and I am always inspired by the reactions of my clients when they see their final images. As a mom of 4 girls and a wife of 19 years, I understand the importance of self-care and self-love, and I would be honored to help you capture your beauty through a boudoir photoshoot. I would love the opportunity to meet with you, chat over a cup of coffee or glass of wine, and learn more about how I can help you envision the perfect boudoir session. So, let’s start the journey together and capture the beauty and confidence that lies within you.
